  • If the walls are fitted with OSB panels (15.0-25.0 mm) on both sides, the tension anchors can be nailed in place through the OSB panels.

  • The minimum length of the nails depends on the thickness of the intermediate OSB panel.

  • Single-piece narrow tension anchor for narrow beams and indirect fastening via OSB intermediate panels

  • Application in utilisation classes 1 and 2 in line with EN 1995:2013
Notice

The tension anchor connection must be fully nailed down.

Information regarding direct connections to OSB panels:

In most cases, nailing down the OSB panels is for reinforcement purposes only. This means that additional nails must be placed above the tension anchor so that the tensile forces that are anchored via the OSB panel are directed into the beam. The number of nails must be in proportion to the tensile forces to be anchored. This means that the same number of nails must be used for each tension anchor. The nail length of 60 mm must be extended in proportion to the thickness of the OSB intermediate panel.

Please refer to the Blass/Laskewitz report "Tragfähigkeit von Verbindungen an Holztafelelementen" [Load-bearing capacity of connections on wood panel elements].

The relevant conditions of the anchor approval must be observed.
