Zinc-flake coatings are chrome-(VI)-free corrosion protection coatings for commercial vehicle assembly, construction machinery, agricultural vehicles and equipment, and all other areas that have corrosion protection requirements at vehicle construction level.
Corrosion resistance for ZFSHL is:
- Diameter ≥ M6 - 480h*
- Diameter ≥ M10 - 720h*
The designation ZFSHL refers to the following corrosion coating:
- Zinc-flake coating, with top coat, silver colour, with friction value adjusted lubrication.
- Adjusted friction coefficient range from 0.09μ – 0.14μ due to top coat with integrated lubricating particles
ISO 4032 replaces DIN 934 | There is no interchangeability | Nominal diameter changed | Nut heights partially changed | Wrench sizes for M10, M12, M14, M22 changed | Only for standard thread | Fine thread was transferred to ISO 8673 | Dimensions larger than M39 do not reach the test loads in accordance with ISO 898-2due to their geometry.
The dip-spinning process typical of zinc-flake coatings can have a negative effect on the trueness to gauge in the case of small threads. For this reason, it is possible to ensure the screwing capability of size M5 threads, but not trueness to gauge.
