Stabilises the outside wall
- The cavity wall tie with flat pad can be cemented into a joint (minimum thickness of 2 mm) of a sand-lime brick interior wall.
- The insulation is pierced and held in the correct place using an insulation clip.
- The flat end is glued or mortared into the joint (minimum thickness of 3 mm) of the outer wall.
Notice
- Also suitable for sand-lime breeze blocks V-100; cavity width for cemented outer walls and breeze blocks is reduced by 10 mm.
- Würth and GB encourage the use of sustainable materials and advise using A4 stainless steel cavity wall ties and, in certain situations, A2 stainless steel cavity wall ties in outer walls. This is supported by the Dutch Buildings Decree 2012/Eurocode 6.
