TOP ENERGY batteries have been designed to comply with even the most stringent performance requirements placed on vehicles during use. These batteries have been designed to provide a stronger spark in all circumstances. This range in load version is made with expanded grid technology in a Pb/Ca alloy. This minimises the effect of hydrolysis and reduces the water consumption, while also limiting the level of battery self-discharge that occurs. All of these factors help to ensure that the batteries are MAINTENANCE FREE.
The lead used to make the grids is 99.99 % pure and is sourced directly from the mines, providing the batteries with a very high level of resistance to corrosion. The thickness of the positive plates is larger than that of the plates used in standard batteries. This choice has been made in order to ensure greater energy reserves and increased numbers of cycles, in order to meet the increasingly stringent demands of on-board vehicle electronics. The HI-PERFORMANCE polyethylene envelope separator has a remarkable mechanical resistance, which guarantees protection against internal short circuits. The explosion-proof tablet is located in the cover, alongside the central degassing system that minimises the risk of explosions caused by the accidental creation of external sparks and flames. In addition, the sealing plugs ensure greater safety as their smooth surfaces make it more difficult to open them without specialist training and equipment.
