Würth threaded nails have a shaft in which a specially developed and extensively tested "spiral-shaped screw profile" is turned.
When it is knocked in with a hammer, the nail turns in the wood, thereby encountering resistance: the harder the wood, the greater the resistance. The wood fibres that are pushed out of the way by the shaft press into this profile, so the nail is permanently gripped inside the wood, even if the wood becomes drier.
Würth threaded nails have an extraction resistance 3 times greater than nails with a smooth shaft.
Extraction resistance of approx. 500-600 N/nail, depending on the nail diameter and use of the correct nail length.
Nail length: 2.5-3 times the thickness of the material to be joined.
Attaching profiles to hardwood, securing wall cladding and insulation panels to a wooden framework and for outdoor construction work.
