Ideal power transmission thanks to RW drive
- Increased force due to greater contact area at the bit
- Greater stability, one-handed use, precise positioning thanks to adhesive effect
- Fewer bit changes, one bit for multiple screw diameters
- Compatibility with previous AW drive
Strong and fast anchorage in wood
- Increased power transmission in hardwood due to reinforced asymmetric geometry of the connecting thread
- Better anchoring due to higher thread flanks
A soft start of the connecting thread ensures optimised placement and engagement of the screw
- Less splitting due to the displacement effect of the dome-shaped milling elements in the tip
- The low-friction connecting thread allows the force applied when fastening in the screw to be reduced
- We recommend using the Würth software or the corresponding design tools to plan and measure your installation. Use the Würth timber construction software to determine the required dimensions of ASSY screws from a diameter of 5 mm
- Do not use the screw in applications with direct exposure to the weather, or in humid rooms with an atmosphere containing chlorine. For outdoor applications and in rooms continuously exposed to high humidity, use ASSY 4 A2 or A4 stainless steel screws; in chlorinated atmospheres, use HCR stainless steel screws
- The chipboard screws ASSY 4, ASSYplus 4 and ASSYplus VG 4 are optimised for use in wood and wooden materials. For applications in plastic anchors where load capacity can also be reduced, only screws without an optimised thread tip (tip with milling ribs, drill tip, self-clearing groove etc.) may be used, such as ASSY D screws with a countersunk head or round head

For the seamless connection of two wooden elements
The screw features a section of thread immediately below the head. This section of thread has a smaller thread pitch with a larger outer diameter, making it possible to join two wooden elements without any gaps. The screw head can be completely flush with the material surface.
For wood/wood connections that need to be drawn together
The partial thread that begins immediately after the shank makes it possible to create wood/wood connections that need to be drawn together. The connecting thread is fully seated in the lower element once screwed in.
For class 1 and class 2 applications (from ∅ > 4 mm)
- High-quality surface protection, zinc, blue passivated chromium(VI)-free, up to ∅ 4 mm A2K 5 µm, from ∅ 4.5 mm A3K 8 µm layer thickness
- Suitable for use in class 1 (interior) and from ∅ > 4 mm in class 2 (covered outdoor areas) according to EN 1995-1-1:2010-12 + DIN SPEC 1052-100:2013-08
- Screws from ∅ 4.5 mm with a zinc layer thickness of 8 µm with Cr(III) passivation meet the requirements of classification T2/C2 in accordance with prEN 14592:2017 (D)
- ASSY screws are approved for quasi-static loads
- For optimal use of the screw, the correct size RW bit must be used
- Screws with a partial thread are ideal for connecting wooden parts. To ensure optimum assembly of the parts, the part that is to be fitted must not be thicker than the length of the shank
