Three-ply reinforced micro-perforated PE foil weighing approximately 140 grams per m². The foil has limited water-repellent properties and is vapour-permeable. It is primarily used to temporarily seal openings against wind and water during construction. The foil can also be used as a water-repellent layer on the outside of constructions using enclosed façade and wall elements

Very robust

The product's internal reinforcement makes it extra robust and gives it high tensile strength

Water-repellent

The WÜFOL 125WG is class W2 water-repellent. This means that it can provide limited protection against rain and snow, among other things, protecting the underlying structure.

Vapour-permeable

The WÜFOL 125WG is vapour-permeable and therefore 'breathable'. This is important because water vapour that condenses on the inside of a structure can cause a number of problems, including the growth of mould. The 'breathable' properties of the foil allow moisture to escape from the structure easily. The WÜFOL 125WG must always be freely suspended between counter battens and not applied directly to the substructure.

UV-stabilised

The foil is UV-stabilised, meaning that it can be exposed to the open air for a relatively long period of time (max. 12 months) without impacting the protective effect of the foil.

NoticeThe foil must never be applied directly to the insulation, otherwise this will result in a suction effect in the insulation that can lead to mould growth

Application areaSuitable for temporarily sealing openings against wind and water during construction or for use as a water-repellent layer on the outside of constructions using enclosed façade and wall elements
Instructions

Installation instructions

  • Attach the WÜFOL® WG125 to the "cold" side of the thermal insulation using a staple gun (staple gun art. no. 0714 854, 0714 811 or hand-held stapler art. no. 0714 834) and secure the whole construction with battens.

  • The smooth side always faces toward the installer.

  • Ensure sufficient overlap: Ensure that there is an overlap of at least 15 cm (overlap strip).

  • All overlapping and stapled points must be sealed airtight using suitable adhesive tape (art. no. 0992 700 050).

  • Use WÜTOP® film adhesive (art. no. 0893 700 100, 0893 700 110) for an airtight connection when bonding the strips to masonry. If necessary, secure the strips with a clamping batten.

  • Take care not to damage the foil during installation.

  • Secure any loose sections of foil in corners or at overlap straight away - never allow them to hang loose.

  • Never fold the foil sharply
