Fire protection sleeve that foams up in case of a fire, for preventing the fire from spreading via cables, cable bundles and cable conduits. Approved as “weak smoker”

  • Can be used in damp rooms or areas with constant wetness

  • The fire protection fabric consists of a glass filament fabric and complies with building material class, class C-s2 d0 according to DIN EN 13501-1, only inside buildings. Normal flammability, class E according to DIN EN 13501-1, for outside applications

  • The KB SR fire protection bandage has a fire protection coating on the light-grey interior that foams up in the event of a fire

  • The grey exterior of the carrier fabric has a PU coating and can be subjected to damp cleaning without impairing the fire protection characteristics
Notice

Up to building class 3 the fire protection fabric KB SR is approved without the consent of the building supervision below. In addition, the permissibility of application on cables and cable systems along rescue routes is to be decided upon in individual cases by the respective building supervisory board, e.g. in conjunction with the fire protection concept.

  • KB fire protection fabric


Fire protection fabric (fire protection bandage) for preventing fire from occurring and preventing fire from spreading through cables and cable systems.

Instructions
  • Installed with overlap of ≥ 5 cm at the lengthwise and crosswise joints

  • At least every 50 cm, the bandage is secured with the universal tensioning strap and a suitable turnbuckle or wire, and can therefore be loosened at any time for retrofitting

  • As the bandage is thin-walled and the lengthwise and crosswise joints of the bandage are formed only by overlapping, most of the heat generated by the cables can dissipate

  • Please see the precise installation information in the installation instructions and in the DIBt National technical approval
